During the 'Rock And Roll Circus' tour, which bombed pretty badly, everyone was sick of not getting paid, so one night the sax player, Jimmy Jewell, decided he had had enough, so he took all the money from the petty cash tin and left a note in it saying 'Goodbye cruel circus, I'm off to join the world'!
